Robbie Moir

Robbie Moir has over 20 years of financial services experience including 12 years of global infrastructure investing.  He has a proven track record in originating, executing and raising the capital for numerous high profile infrastructure, real estate and structured finance transactions.

In 2018, Robbie founded 9 West to provide capital solutions for real assets.  9 West introduced the equity sponsor for the £55 million acquisition of the NHS National Services building in Edinburgh that completed in April 2019.

Robbie joined Dalmore Capital in 2014 with responsibility for diversifying Dalmore’s business into UK regulated and other non-PPP infrastructure assets.  Robbie has transformed Dalmore from a purely PPP investor into one of the leading investors in UK infrastructure.  He has introduced almost £2 billion of capital and made significant investments in assets such as Corey Riverside (an energy from waste plant in London), Anglian Water Group, Cadent (formerly National Grid Gas Distribution), the M25 PFI, Tideway (Thames Tideway Tunnel) and the Colchester Garrison PFI.

Robbie previously worked in the Infrastructure Division at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) where he joined a newly formed team in 2008 that had responsibility for setting up and developing a diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets by region and sector.  He originated and executed infrastructure investments in North America, Western Europe and the United Kingdom and the team invested more than US$ 5 billion in 15 assets during his 6 year tenure.

Other roles include those with Bank of America in New York and Barclays Capital in London where he was involved in the origination and execution of around US$ 5 billion in privately placed cross border structured finance transactions to meet the funding and investment requirements of major financial institutions.

Robbie started his career in the UK insurance industry and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
